Corrado Crasta started working with a small local business in the port of Naples that provided customs assistance to many local companies and correspondents in Italy and abroad.

  • 1957

Corrado Crasta obtained his ‘licence’ to work as a customs broker. In the same year, he was chosen to open and manage the Naples branch of Odino Valperga, Italy’s largest international shipping company at the time. In addition to managing the Naples office, he was also responsible for managing the customs affairs of the entire Group.

  • 1977

After holding executive positions at Odino Valperga, Corrado Crasta decided to embark on a new path and established CORRADO CRASTA, a sole proprietorship, involving a team of expert collaborators as well as his wife, Imma Iovieno, and his brother, Antonio Crasta; the latter was in charge of the company’s administration. In a short time this newborn business achieved important milestones and became the leading shipper in the port of Naples, which it remained for years. In that period several collaborations were launched, many of which are still ongoing, with Italian leading companies in the energy sector. In most cases, Corrado Crasta has collaborated with these companies since they first establishment their plants in the Campania region.

  • 1985

CRASTA & C. Srl was created to support the CORRADO CRASTA sole proprietorship in meeting the numerous requests for assistance, including for the buying and selling of sea, air and land freight. Those were important years, as the volumes handled increased as well as the number of collaborations led by the Company. Among the various collaborations there were consulting services for the recovery of the wreck of the Ustica massacre, Corrado Crasta’s work as a customs expert at University of Naples Federico II, assistance to international operators in setting up major events in the city, and the start-up and management of dozens of coastal and tax warehouses throughout the region.

09 July 1993, U2 in Naples. Crasta was in charge of assistance services for the concert-event at Stadio San Paolo.

  • 1998

Enrico Francesco Crasta first and then, one year later, Walter Crasta began working permanently in the family business, after both of them had gained experience in Italy and abroad.

  • 2001

The CORRADO CRASTA sole proprietorship permanently merged into Crasta & C. Srl.

  • 2006

Crasta was the first company in southern Italy selected to represent WCA World, the most influential global network of freight forwarders.

  • 2008

The operational branch in Rome was established.

  • 2010

Enrico Francesco Crasta obtained eligibility for registration with the Customs Brokers Registry.

  • 2016

Crasta acquires the status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO).

  • 2020

Crasta became a member of Unione Industriali Napoli, the local organisation of Confindustria (Confederation of Italian Industry) and the association representing companies producing goods and/or services in all product sectors.

  • 2021

Towards the end of 2021, Crasta decided to start positioning itself in the market with a renewed image and a well-defined identity to improve relations and dialogue with its stakeholders. Therefore, starting the following year, the Company embarked on a rebranding process that would see the birth of the new logo and the definition of its brand essence encapsulated in the payoff Glocal Forwarding & Consulting.

The ‘Glocality’ concept became the distinctive feature of the brand and began to be conveyed in communications through the claim ‘Think Glocal!’. The radical overhaul of the Company’s brand image also involved its website, with a completely new look in terms of graphics and contents, an empathetic and professional tone of voice, as well as a communication strategy consistent with the new brand positioning and perfectly in line with the Company’s personality.

  • 2022

Crasta became a Social Event Partner of Società Sportiva Napoli Basket, supporting entities that operate in the social sector in the area of Naples. These include Obiettivo Napoli Onlus, an association in the Mercato district of Naples that offers training, education and social and cultural activities for at- risk youth: with them, we have set up the major project Un tetto ai nostri sogni (A Roof for our Dreams).
